Zoe's Place Liverpool
A Place of Comfort and Care for Children
Zoe's Place Liverpool, a baby hospice, provides palliative, respite, and end-of-life care to infants and children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Zoe's Place Liverpool was established in 2004 by the national charity, Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, which was set up in 1995 by the parents of a baby who died from a life-limiting condition. The hospice is named after Zoe Clark, who died in 1994 at the age of 10 months. The Liverpool hospice was the first of its kind in the North West and now provides care to over 200 babies and children from Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
The hospice provides a range of services to families, including:
- Palliative care: The hospice team works with families to manage the symptoms of a child's condition and to provide comfort and support.
- Respite care: The hospice offers short breaks to families, giving them time to rest and recharge.
- End-of-life care: The hospice team provides support to families during the final days of a child's life and after their death.
The hospice also offers a number of therapeutic services, such as music therapy, art therapy, and physiotherapy, and a range of activities for children and families, such as play sessions, outings, and parties.
Zoe's Place Liverpool is a vital service for families in Liverpool and the surrounding areas. The hospice provides a place where children can receive the care they need and where families can find support and comfort.
