Jusuf Nurkic News: Stands out with double-double
Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic put up an impressive performance on Tuesday night.
Nurkic led the Blazers to a 113-109 victory over the Sacramento Kings, posting a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
The Bosnian center also added 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks in his complete performance.
Nurkic's performance was particularly impressive considering he played through a left knee issue he suffered in the first half.
He is averaging 12.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, while shooting 47.8% from the field.
Nurkic's double-double was his 10th of the season, making him the first Trail Blazers player to reach double-digit double-doubles before the All-Star break since LaMarcus Aldridge in the 2014-15 season.
Nurkic's performance was a bright spot on a night when the Trail Blazers were without Damian Lillard due to a right calf strain.
The Blazers are now 25-24 and in ninth place in the Western Conference standings.
They will look to keep their momentum going on Thursday night when they host the New York Knicks at the Moda Center.
