FC Cincinnati starts postseason run with a Monday match-up against New York City FC
FC Cincinnati will host New York City FC Monday night at TQL Stadium in the first round of the Audi 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs.
FC Cincinnati clinched a playoff berth thanks to a 2-1 win over the New England Revolution on Decision Day. NYCFC finished the regular season in second place in the Eastern Conference with a 16-11-7 record.
FC Cincinnati is making its second appearance in the MLS Cup Playoffs. The club lost to the Philadelphia Union in the first round of the 2019 playoffs.
New York City FC is making its fifth appearance in the MLS Cup Playoffs. The club won the MLS Cup in 2021 and finished as runner-up in 2019.

- The play of FC Cincinnati's Brenner. The Brazilian forward has been in good form lately, and he will need to continue to be a threat in the attack.
