Lakers Injury Report: Suns All-Star Upgraded Ahead of LA Rematch
Suns Expected to be Fully Healthy for Game 3
Anthony Davis Questionable for LA
The Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns will face off in a pivotal Game 3 of their first-round playoff series on Friday night. The Lakers are currently down 2-0 in the series and will be looking to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole.
The Suns received a major boost to their lineup on Thursday when All-Star guard Devin Booker was upgraded to questionable for Game 3. Booker has been sidelined since Game 2 of the first round with a hamstring injury. His return would be a major boost to the Suns, who are already without starting center Deandre Ayton due to a foot injury.
The Lakers, meanwhile, are dealing with their own injury concerns. Anthony Davis is questionable for Game 3 with a calf injury. Davis has been playing through the injury, but he has been limited in his effectiveness. If Davis is unable to play, it would be a major blow to the Lakers' chances of winning Game 3.
The Lakers will also be without starting point guard Dennis Schroder, who is out with a thumb injury. Alex Caruso is expected to start in Schroder's place.
The Suns are favored to win Game 3, but the Lakers are hoping to steal a win on the road and tie the series at 2-1. The game is scheduled to tip off at 10:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
