Home Bargains has pledged to raise £1m for the hospice over the next three years, with a £100,000 donation to kickstart the fundraising. The money will go towards the hospice's running costs, which are around £1.3m a year.

Zoe’s Place relies on donations to continue providing its vital services, and the Home Bargains donation will make a huge difference.

The hospice's fundraising manager, Helen Johnson, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Home Bargains for their generous donation. This will make a huge difference to the families we support."

One family who has been supported by Zoe’s Place is the family of Amelia Spendlove. Amelia was born with a rare genetic condition called spinal muscular atrophy, which affects the muscles and nerves.

Amelia's parents, Sarah and Chris, said: "Zoe’s Place has been a lifeline for us. Amelia loves coming here and the staff are amazing. This donation from Home Bargains will help to ensure that Zoe’s Place can continue to provide this vital support to families like ours."
