Wigan loanee Hugill convinced of Man Utd future
The 25-year-old striker has impressed during his time at the DW Stadium, scoring 12 goals in 22 appearances.
Hugill joined Wigan on a season-long loan from Manchester United in the summer, and he has quickly established himself as a key player for the Latics. He has scored goals in all competitions, including a hat-trick against Hull City in the FA Cup.
Hugill's form has led to speculation that he could be recalled by Manchester United in the summer, but the striker is adamant that he wants to stay at Wigan.
"I'm really enjoying my time at Wigan," Hugill said. "I'm playing regularly, I'm scoring goals, and I'm helping the team win games. I can't ask for more than that.
"I know there has been some talk about me going back to Manchester United in the summer, but I'm not thinking about that at the moment. I'm just focused on playing well for Wigan and helping the team achieve its goals." Hugill's comments will come as a boost to Wigan, who are currently 12th in the Championship. The Latics are hoping to push for a play-off place this season, and Hugill's goals could be crucial to their chances of success.
