Sixers squad named for clash with Strikers
Sydney Sixers have named their squad for their Marsh Sheffield Shield clash with the Adelaide Strikers starting at the SCG on Thursday.
The Blues have made two changes to the team that lost to Western Australia last week, with paceman Mickey Edwards and allrounder Jack Edwards coming into the side.
Edwards will make his first Shield appearance of the season, while Jack Edwards returns after missing the win over Queensland through injury.
The rest of the team remains unchanged, with captain Moises Henriques, Daniel Hughes, Kurtis Patterson, Jack Carder, Ben Dwarshuis, Oliver Davies, and Lloyd Pope all retaining their spots.
The Sixers will be looking to bounce back from their loss to the Warriors, and will be confident of doing so on home turf.
They have a strong record at the SCG, and will be keen to make the most of the conditions.
The Strikers will be no pushovers, however, and will be looking to make a statement in their first game of the season.
They have a number of dangerous players in their side, including Jake Weatherald, Travis Head, and Rashid Khan.
The match is sure to be a close one, and could go either way.
The Sixers squad for the match is as follows:
- Moises Henriques (c)
- Daniel Hughes
- Kurtis Patterson
- Jack Carder
- Ben Dwarshuis
- Oliver Davies
- Lloyd Pope
- Jack Edwards
