Harry Kane wins Gerd Müller trophy, finishes 10th in Ballon d'Or voting
Kane enjoyed a superb 2022/23 season with Spurs
After a stellar campaign with Tottenham Hotspur, England captain Harry Kane has been awarded the Gerd Müller Trophy by Bayern Munich and France Football. The striker won the accolade after scoring the most goals by a player in Europe's top five leagues last season, with 23 Premier League goals. Erling Haaland finished second with 22 goals for Manchester City.
Kane finished 10th in Ballon d'Or voting
In addition to winning the Gerd Müller Trophy, Kane also finished 10th in the Ballon d'Or voting. The award was won by Karim Benzema of Real Madrid, with Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City finishing second and Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich finishing third.
