Giants Rule Out Six Players for Week 17 Matchup
The New York Giants have ruled out six players for their Week 17 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, including two starters.
The Giants announced Saturday that wide receiver Sterling Shepard, cornerback Adoree' Jackson, safety Julian Love, defensive tackle Leonard Williams, and offensive linemen Ben Bredeson and Nick Gates will all miss Sunday's game due to injury.
Shepard has been dealing with a hamstring injury, while Jackson has been nursing an ankle injury. Love is out with a concussion, Williams has a neck injury, Bredeson has a calf injury, and Gates is still recovering from a torn ACL.
The Giants will be without several key players on both sides of the ball on Sunday. Shepard is the team's leading receiver, while Jackson is one of the team's best cornerbacks. Love is a key member of the secondary, and Williams is one of the team's best pass rushers.
The Giants are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, but they will need to win their final two games and get some help from other teams in order to make it to the postseason.
Here is a complete list of the Giants' inactives for Week 17:
