Emmerdale fans convinced Ross Barton is returning amid Michael Parr's latest move

Emmerdale fans are convinced Ross Barton is making a comeback this year after actor Michael Parr seemingly teased his return to the ITV soap

Viewers last saw Ross flee the village in 2018 after his sister Victoria Barton reported him to the police for kidnapping her rapist.

But Michael appeared to hint that he will be back in the Dales this year as he shared a snap of himself and on-screen sister Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria, with fans on Instagram.

The actor captioned the photo: "Reunited with my little sis! Great catch up. Watch this space…"

Fans quickly rushed to the comment section to speculate that Ross will be making a return to the soap.

"You have to come back to Emmerdale…it won't be the same without your character," one fan wrote.

Another added: "Oh wow! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us, would love to see Ross return!"

A third commented: "Emmerdale wouldn't be the same without Ross, you need to come back!"

It comes after Michael previously said he would be open to returning to Emmerdale in the future.

He told Digital Spy: "I've got very fond memories of my time there. You never say never in this industry. It's a great show and a great team of people. I'd never say no."
