DWP PIP and DLA Claimants to Receive £750 One-Off Payment
What is the £750 payment?
The UK government has announced a one-off payment of £750 to help disabled people with the cost of living. The payment will be made to those who receive Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and will be paid automatically in September 2023.
Who is eligible for the payment?
To be eligible for the payment, you must have been receiving PIP or DLA on 25 May 2023. The payment will be made to all eligible claimants, regardless of their age or whether they are in receipt of other benefits.
How will the payment be made?
The payment will be made automatically into the bank accounts of eligible claimants. You do not need to take any action to claim the payment.
When will the payment be made?
The payment will be made in September 2023. The exact date of payment will vary depending on your circumstances.
What should I do if I have not received the payment?
If you have not received the payment by the end of September 2023, you should contact the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). You can do this by phone on 0800 121 4433 or by textphone on 0800 121 4444.
Additional support for disabled people
The government has also announced a number of other measures to support disabled people with the cost of living. These include:
- A £150 payment for disabled people who are not eligible for PIP or DLA
- A £500 payment for families with disabled children
- An increase in the Winter Fuel Payment
These payments will be made automatically to eligible claimants. You do not need to take any action to claim the payments.
